Apple Pancakes
Ok, so I know I've been on a major apple kick lately, apple cookies, apple picking totes and now apple pancakes (it is Fall after all!)
Last night I made apple pancakes, they were delicious...I got the idea from Not Martha. The pancake recipe came from here. They were delicious and a great way to use up the rest of the apples from our CSA. I sprinkled cinnamon and sugar on the top but I think if I made them again I would put more spices in the batter, maybe nutmeg and cloves and drizzle warm honey over the top, mmmm.....

Apple Cookies
The first hint of cold weather and I am already preparing for hibernation mode! This weekend Mike and I stayed in and did a lot of cooking and baking...which included these yummy apple cookies courtesy of bread and honey, one of my favorite cooking blogs...they didn't last long and were perfect with tea!

Lavender Bread
Over the weekend I tried a new recipe that I found at Sympathy for the Kettle, my favorite tea shop in the E. Village. It was so yummy and goes perfectly with tea. I have been eating it for breakfast every morning. Mike wasn't a fan, he said it tasted like my soap! I'm not sure what bothered me more, the fact that he didn't like it or that he has secretly been taste testing my soaps!! If you aren't a fan of lavender in your food (which my boyfriend obviously isn't!), it's a great, sweet batter so you could substitute the lavender for strawberries or whatever else would taste good in a dessert bread. Enjoy!
